There’s beauty to be found all year round

We’re led by the seasons at Flowers by the Gate, and there’s something special about each one. Spring has its ranunculus, cornflowers, nigella and fragrant sweetpeas, snap dragons ease us into summer which becomes a real riot of colour with zinnias, airy cosmos and asters. Many of our late summer blooms last well into autumn until the last frosts — including dahlias and chrysanthemums. Then in the winter when all is quiet and the earth is resting, there are still dried flowers and foliage to play with. Here are some of the highlights from our farm garden.
